AED Competent User Programme

Overview

This course teaches participants the skills and knowledge needed to provide care for adults experiencing sudden cardiac arrest through the safe use of an automated external defibrillator (AED). Also to learn how to use an AED with paediatric AED pads on child victims between the ages of 1 and 8 or less than 55 pounds.

Course Content

AED training teaches participants:

  • What defibrillation is and how it works
  • The causes of sudden cardiac arrest
  • The role of CPR in cardiac arrest
  • How to use an AED, including precautions when using and AED

Assessment & Certification

Assessment is by way of a Multiple choice question paper and a practical CPR-AED Assessment.

The cost of this course is £475.00 + VAT for in-house training for up to 12 delegates
